Weekend epiphany

We pursue God and the truth in His word. We don't pursue healing or ministry.

I repotted my orchid and cut off a lot of the old rotting roots. I hope it survives!!

It has come to this

I was reading the news on my phone and needed to turn up the volume of my music. So I looked frantically in my bag for my phone. Finally, I found it in my left hand.

Rose apple

It tastes like rose-infused guava. Very odd to me but also delicious. Definitely an acquired taste.

Hanging out

My allergies don't seem as bad as before. But my eyes did feel a little dry and itchy last night.

20 years later

I think I first heard of this book, a memoir by a doctor who worked with leprosy patients, a little more than 20 years ago and I finally got around to picking it up. This book is fascinating. It's a little difficult for me because I don't think like a scientist and I certainly hate feeling pain. But I am starting to see that he is right. Pain is a gift. But I think I need to keep on reading. Maybe I will get the other book, In The Likeness of God, too.

Pruning

Beans from my friend's garden. We pruned the bean plants in the front garden and that was the first time I saw a plant being pruned.

Pruning?? It looked like destruction!!!!!

My mom is keeping track of how old my plant is. She says it's 1.5 years old now. Watering it with rice water and zucchini water seems to help.
