Sunday

After church, attended a meeting for volunteers, then had a chat with a sister. After 5 hours, I'm finally going home to rest....

Points from the sermon:

Peacemakers take the initiative (Matthew 5:25)

Peacemakers bear the burden of maintaining peace (Romans 12:18)

Peacemakers refuse to punish or take revenge (Romans 12:19)

Peacemakers seek wisdom over opinions (James 3:17)

Peacemakers understand the sow-harvest principle. We get way more back than we ever plant (James 3:18)

Troublemakers enjoy the drama (Titus 3:9-10)

Troublemakers can't keep their mouths shut (Proverbs 20:19)

Troublemakers instigate disagreement (Proverbs 26:20-21)

Troublemakers find kindred spirits (Romans 16:17)

Philippians 4:8-9

8-9 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
