I have been canoneing before. ( emphatize!! It was hard for me and I culd not even master the "J-stroke" (?) :-(
hahaha . . . i wasn't steering, just paddling in front. the guys on the trip were VERY tired by the end. the girls were too, but i suppose the guys really had to provide muscle power. :)
